Creative Workshops: Nursery School 13.12.2024

On December 13, 2024, the final workshops prepared for kindergartens and planned as part of the FOCUSE project took place. During the workshop “Wrocław – Edible Plants in the City”, preschool children designed buildings and spaces in the city where edible plants could be cultivated. The projects provided the team with valuable insights into the children’s knowledge of urban farming while also promoting an eco-friendly perspective on shaping our immediate surroundings. In January, the FOCUSE team will visit seniors living in Wrocław with creative workshops. Children were introduced to the concept of green infrastructure and learned how vegetation influences the appearance and functioning of a city. Particular emphasis was placed on the idea of resident-friendly spaces where edible plants can be cultivated. During the workshop segment, preschoolers created posters of buildings surrounded by urban crops and designed social spaces. Their projects depicted a vision of cities with avenues full of vegetables and fruits, where residents can relax, walk, and harvest cultivated plants.
