Data and information for urban morphological studies

Between February and May 2025, several reports were produced as a result of research conducted under work packages WP1 (Contemporary Systems, ConteThe FOCUSE project aims to develop and integrate urban food systems in the spirit of the Circular Economy (Circular Food Systems – CRFS). xt, and Resources) and WP3 (Circular Urban Agriculture and Novel Foods/Products):

  • “Action Plan for Potential Synergies between Circular Urban Agriculture and the Urban Environment”
This Action Plan will serve as a foundation for further implementation efforts and the design of urban infrastructure that supports circular food systems.
  • “Report: Data and Information for Urban Morphological Research”
The report identifies current food production systems, including urban and peri-urban forms of agriculture. The analysis also covered technologies, distribution channels, and initiatives related to local food supply.
  • “Report: Input–Output of the Food System in Urban Regions Using Wrocław as a Case Study – Data for Various Case Study Areas”
A model of material flows (input–output) within urban food systems was developed, with particular emphasis on Wrocław. Key waste streams were identified, and their potential for use in food production was assessed.

The implementation of the FOCUSE project will enable the development of more sustainable, resilient, and efficient urban food systems that address the environmental and social challenges of contemporary metropolitan areas.
