The article examines the potential use of underground spaces (e.g., basements, bunkers, abandoned structures) for agricultural production in cities – as an alternative to traditional agriculture and as an element of climate change adaptation strategies. It identifies both benefits (e.g., independence from weather conditions, shortened supply chains) and limitations (high energy costs, lack of regulatory frameworks).
