Aims and objectives
The primary goal of the FOCUSE project is to explore, envision, develop, and analyze urban resource-sharing strategies to promote circular-based food production within urban environments. This, in turn, aims to foster sustainable and viable food provisioning and enhance resource efficiency.
The project is guided by the following three overarching objectives:
- Envision and identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and develop new products by promoting circular use of materials, residuals, and energy within urban food systems.
- Analyze, assess, and test the impact of circular-based food production methods in urban areas to strengthen the sustainability and viability of these practices.
- Enhance and facilitate knowledge exchange among various stakeholders and academic disciplines to advance the development of circular urban food production systems.
